Kingdom Lions Cheer & Dance Academy

ATTENDANCE

 Please read through this attendance policy carefully. We have high expectations for our cheerleaders/dancers. Cheerleading/Dancing is a demanding sport and therefore commitment is highly important. As a team sport, even one athlete missing can greatly impact a training session. Therefore, we want to ensure athletes understand their commitment to the team, and that every athlete must attend all training sessions.

We operate a 3 strike policy – if you have 3 or more strikes you will risk losing your place on the team.

Attendance –

  • Cheerleader/dan may not miss 3 or more training sessions throughout the season; these may not be consecutive.

  • An cheerleader/dancer space during the session will be reviewed if 3 or more sessions are missed. Reviews will be carried out by the head coach, coach, and youth director. Athletes will be informed of the outcome of the review as soon as possible. Cheerleader/dancer under review may be withdrawn from the session. 

  • All absences will be recorded as a strike. We may make exceptions in exceptional circumstances. Exceptional circumstances will be reviewed on an individual basis and the club’s decision is final.

  • Exceptional circumstances may include family emergencies, serious illness and graded school exams. Letters from the school must be provided when requesting an excused absence for school activities and must demonstrate that the school activity is compulsory. 

  • If cheerleader/dancer attendance is not in the spirit/nature of the teams commitment level we reserve the right to not permit an absence or remove them from the session or. performance.

  • All known absences must be communicated to the Youth Director or coach at the start of the season, or as early as possible. We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice.

  • Cheerleader/Dancer that miss the end of the seission performance may result in not being able to register for the next 12 week seission or camp.

In the case of illness/unexpected absence we require a minimum of 12 hours notice (unless there is an exceptional circumstance). If this is not adhered to, the athlete will receive a strike. Athletes MUST NOT attend training if they are deemed contagious.

Emergency Medical Release

In the event of an emergency requiring medical attention, I hereby grant consent to qualified medical personnel to provide medical treatment to and/or transport my child to a near by hospital.


I understand that every effort will be made to contact me in order to receive my specific authorization before any

treatment or hospitalization is undertaken.


However, in the event of an emergency and if I cannot be reached, I give

my consent to the medical care provider to perform any necessary emergency treatments. I agree to release any records

necessary to the appropriate medical care provider for the purpose of treatment, referral, billing or insurance purposes.

Liability Waiver


In consideration for registration of my minor child (named on registration page) Kingdom Lions Cheer and Dance Academy , I do

hereby agree to release, discharge and hold harmless, the Transforming Life Kingdom Church/Kingdom Lions Cheer and Dance Academy, its officers, staff, broad members, organizations of and from all causes, liabilities, damages, claims or demands resulting from

injury or accident involving said my minor child while attending or participating in the lesson, session or camp. I understand that all

participants of Kingdom Lions Cheer and Dance Academy clubs/clinics/camps must be covered by medical insurance and that

the church and program does not provide such insurance for clubs/clinic/camp participants.

Financial Agreement

All payments are non-refundable. Payments are never pro-rated/refunded...including cases of illness/injury,


If my child leaves the program before 12 week session is over. I forfeit all payments.

I understand my chilld can not participate until the payment is paid in advance.

I have read and agree to all information in this packet. I understand that failure to comply to these rules may result in removal from the KLCDA.
